That is worth doing rather than calling around. Used part prices are set against whatever is on that yard's own shelf this week, so the spread between the first yard and the fifth on the same door or transmission is often larger than people expect. What that means if you are elsewhere in the city

This is a smaller group of junkyards than Houston's, and there will be parts nobody on Laredo Highway has. Ask them who does. These yards deal with each other and with the Houston yards constantly, and having a part trucked in from Houston is routine rather than exotic. It usually beats another week of hunting.
